10 – Golden Gate Bridge
This amazing suspension bridge sits across the bay of San Francisco and is by far one of the most iconic structures in the area.
Built in 1933 this massive structure towers to a height of 277 meters and lies 67 meters above sea level.
Tourists can walk across the bridge and it is one of the best places in the world for photographs. The bridge has a much darker side however… It is known as one of the top suicide locations in the world and many people have been caught jumping to their deaths on camera.
9 – Yellowstone National Park
Its the biggest national park in Wyoming and is home to one of the largest volcanic systems on the planet.
Yellowstone national park features many different geological sections that tourists can visit including the old faithful Geyser, Yellowstone Lake and Norris Geyser Basin.
Yellowstone has been the victim of many doomsday prophecy’s with its super-volcano said to be one of the most dangerous in the world and the fact it could pose a threat of massive global catastrophe.

The site of one of the worst terrorist attacks the world has ever seen, this museum to the fallen hero’s on September 11th is now free and extends from the two waterfall memorials above down to an underground complex that shows the true scale of the disaster as it unfolded on the day.

One of the greatest man made engineering projects in history, the Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River.
It sits on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona with Cars being able to drive over the dam and there is a souvenir shop located on the Nevada side.

The statue was gifted to the people of America by France and towers into the sky at 93 meters tall.
