From the Scorpion’s Tale in Wisconsin, to the The Head First Racer in China, were taking a look at the 10 Most Amazing Waterslides In The World.
10. The Scorpion’s Tale, Wisconsin
Its one of the tallest waterslides in the world standing over 10 stories high and 400 feet long. It uses gravity to send you racing through an arching loop.
As you plummet down the shoot at more than 50 feet per second you suddenly realise exactly what you have gotten yourself into on Americas first nearly vertical water-slide.
9. Insano, Fortaleza, Brazil
Its not exactly rocket science as to why this slide is called Insano.
First of all its the tallest water-slide in the world and has been since 1989 standing at 135 feet tall. Secondly its near vertical drop has to be one of the most terrifying experiences your body may ever face.
8. The Bullet-bowl, Beijing
Located in the old water cube pool complex that once hosted Olympic events, this two person ride starts from the top of a tower on a double tube and throws you, at speed into a bowl horizontally. You are then forced into a corkscrew exit and back into the pool.
7. The Head First Racer, China
One of the most interesting waterslides in the world, the Head first racer lets you take on other people and see who can be the fastest to the bottom.
The HFR offers 8 different tubes and best of all they are even colour coded.
6. Summit Plummet, Florida
Located in Blizzard Beach Water-park in Orlando This mountain themed water-slide has you accelerating to over 60 mph and plummets you down a 120 foot drop.
This slide is defiantly not for people who are afraid of hight’s, or speed for that matter. A truly death defying experience.
5. The Verruckt, Kansas City
Located in Schlitterbarn Water park In Kansas City The Verruct features a 17-story downhill drop that suddenly turns into a five-story uphill climb.
This slide has since been closed down due to the fatality of a rider who was apparently cut in half after they got caught in the wire netting that covers the slide.
4. The Boeing 747, Oregon
Its possibly one of the most unique waterslides in the world and it has been crafted right out of a real Boeing 747.
The slide itself even goes right through the body of the 747. Possibly the only time you will get on a plane if you are terrified of flying.
3. The Master Blaster Coasters
Everyone loves Dubai, and if you love water slides then the Master Blaster is defiantly for you.
The four different coasters feature many fast twists and turns but one of the most interesting thing about this slide is it uses water jets and trickery to make you slide up, a bold challenge to gravity and sanity itself.
2. The Cyclone, World Water-park, Canada
The first thing you think when climbing into the capsule is this may not be safe. You were correct in thinking this when you suddenly realise the floor has disappeared and you plunge straight down before being thrown around a huge loop that almost snaps you in half.
1. The Leap of Faith Bahamas
Its possibly one of the worlds scariest water-slides. You begin by launching from the top of the Mayan Temple pyramid, shoot down 60 feet, and then zoom through a transparent tunnel under a pool filled with sharks.
If that doesn’t put you off perhaps the fact your travelling at close to 60 mph during most of your ride.
