Its being called one of the most anticipated London projects of recent times and this long awaited project looks set to begin in the spring of 2016.

Plans for London’s Garden Bridge have been given the go ahead after both the UK government and Transport for London have announced they are committing £30 Million to the project.

The bridge was initially envisioned by Joanna Lumley, designed by architect Thomas Heatherwick and to be planted by renowned horticulturist Dan Pearson with the finished project providing a green public space and a link between the bohemian South Bank and lively Covent Garden.

 

The bridge which will span the river Thames between temple station and the south bank and will feature trees, a variety of plants, benches, sprawling pathways and a 2 tier support system
